Technology

We use modern technology throughout the Firm to enable us to provide an efficient service for clients.

Our office accounts are kept up to date on a daily basis using a computerised solicitors accounts system. This system, in addition to recording every transaction dealing with clients money and separately every transaction dealing with office money, also incorporates a sophisticated time recording system which keeps a record of all time spent by each Solicitor on each matter and the nature of work carried out during that time. This enables us to keep an accurate tally on the costs incurred in each matter and to advise clients of this when appropriate.

We use computers for word processing work throughout the office and we have all our office records entered in the computer system enabling us to trace files and deeds very quickly.

We have a very extensive conventional legal library which includes law reports going back to the 1800's in addition to complete sets of Halsbury's Laws of England and Halsbury's Statutes and also various other specialist volumes which are updated continuously. This conventional library is now supplemented by volumes on computer disk which enable us to access information very quickly and effectively providing us with ready access for example to very up to date Company Law and Tax Law.

Three Solicitors of the Firm use computers with voice recognition software which we have been using since November of 1995. This has been regularly up-dated and the systems have been developed and fine tuned to such a degree that they now form a very valuable resource to the Firm.
